Northern parts of Arizona and Utah are at higher elevations and it is too cold to ride a bike there. In southern Arizona (south of Phoenix) however the daily temperatures stay around 20 degrees Celsius and you can visit many other interesting places. Most of them are one day trips. In the area around Casa Grande there are several beautiful large lakes, drive south to the Quinlan Mountains with a large astronomical observatory called Kitt Peak, visit national park with giant saguaros cacti near Tucson or you can take a very interesting trip going from 2800 feet elevation to almost 10000 feet into the Santa Catalina Mountain Range. Similar winter weather conditions are also in southern New Mexico or California.
